Swaminathan Manivannan
Biography:
Swaminathan's art has been applauded by professionals in the art and design world. He accepts the accolades but is untouched by the applause. Swami is an alumnus of Vidyasagar and has been diagnosed with autism. He is a master in his art; a yogi in his demeanor.
Swaminathan “Swami” Manivannan has shown a proclivity to draw geometric shapes and lines from when he was very young. He appears to prefer a photo or a picture, to copy from and gives it his unique visual perceptual slant in his art. Swami is an alumnus of Vidyasagar with autism. He is a master in his art, a Yogi in his demeanor, and a child in street smartness. Right from his childhood, he has been illustrating people and things around him in a unique style, that is 'Swami'.
Swami is now outsourcing his art to corporate firms. His work has appeared on logos, calendars and as paintings and murals at corporate offices. His artworks has also appeared on Viswanathan Anand's visiting cards and letterheads; On the cover page of the brochure of 'Namma Nellu', Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems; On the walls of Ashok Leyland's new corporate office at Guindy, Chennai; On the popcorn tubs of Sathyam cinemas,and more.
Curatio Health care company regularly uses Swami's artworks in their calendars and in their gifts for doctors while launching their products.
